If you walk into a shipping center and have them print a label, they hose you. Through UPS, I just shipped a trans from FL to NJ (18x20x30 box) and it was $80 by printing a label online and dropping it off.

Local friend just shipped a head up to IN and did the very same thing. They charged him $120 as a walk in, when just last week I shipped a head from FL to OR for $72 (insured for $3k).
