    FS: Tweeter Replacement Pins

Currently accepting orders! Send me a message at zephyrpitre@gmail.com and I will send you a paypal request. Current price is $20 including shipping.

    Hey r3v!

I broke the pins off a pair of tweeters a couple weeks ago (for like the tenth time ) and it seemed like a waste to toss the entire speaker, so I printed some pins that can be glued onto the back.

I'm really happy with the result and I'm now offering sets of 7 pins for sale. 6 is enough to fix a pair of blanks, or enough to fix premium speakers with 2 left over, and you'll have one to see if you can break, they're super strong. Reply in this thread if you can

Current pins are white ABS, rated to 203 Fahrenheit

    Ordering:
Currently accepting orders! Paypal zephyrpitre@gmail.com and I will ship and get you tracking asap!

Price is $20 a set shipped within the continental US. This includes paypal fees, so please send funds as for goods and services. (actually paying with the fee is required for the way I'm shipping stuff

    My paypal is zephyrpitre@gmail.com.

    Install:

To start with, its best to cut the broken pin stubs off as low as possible:

I then used a dremel to grind down the rest of the material, but sand paper will work just as well, just will take a little longer:

    Should look like this:

It's also a good idea to rough up the bottom of the pins for best adhesion.
Now a couple globs of super glue can be applied to the speaker and the pin can be firmly pressed onto it:

There ya go! Best of luck and please let me know any questions you might have!

Neat idea. This will keep a lot of people from tossing their slightly broken ones (myself included).

            Thanks man.

I've had them in for a week so far and they're holding up really well. Nice tight fit.

I've tried to snap a couple and couldn't without tools.

The only thing to be careful of, which I should have mentioned in the first post, is that they get soft around 170F, so if you're in somewhere super super warm and leave your car sealed in the sun all day, you might have issues.

Made a couple updates including a larger base for better adhesion! Those who have ordered which the new better pins .

Note: it is important to center the pin over where the old pin was when installing to get the speakers to fit perfectly into place. For the pin on tweeters next to the metal spring you may need to slightly shave down the in to get perfect fitment.
