OEM 88+ unibody rear apron - No longer for sale

We've kind of abandoned the plan to fit the OEM unibody rear apron to my car, after going out today to do some test fitting and realizing that it's going to take a lot more work to mount than we'd initially thought, and I've also started to lean more toward going with something aftermarket and a bit more stylish-looking. So judging on whatever kind of interest there may be, I'm posting up a thread to see if anyone is interested in buying it from me. It's mostly all trimmed down and ready to begin test-fitting, some areas are going to require a little bit more trimming, and the edges will all need to be ground smooth from the cutting we did.

Due to the size of this part, I'd really like to avoid shipping it. If I do have to, it's going to cost well up around $50-80 due to its size, depending on where it's going. If someone in the PNW is interested, I'd prefer if they were to come pick it up, or depending on weather, I could possibly meet someone halfway. I paid $100 for the apron initially, and that was before all the work that we did it get it to the point it's at now, so I'd still like to get $100. PM me with any serious inquiries.

This is the apron exactly as it sits now:

It doesn't fit on the car completely flush, and in order to make it work the way it should, we really would have to probably weld it, as well as making the covers for the ends where the 2 wheel well ends are visible. It's not that I don't want to do it, it's just that we're running out of time for doing all the work since the weather is going to start to turn soon, and we don't have the time to get it all done in time with getting the bumpers done. At this point, I'd rather just go with a decent aftermarket rear that would require nothing more than fabbing up some brackets.

I could say something but I'm not :) WEAK! I am doing the same on mine, but I am welding everything. Have you considered buying a cheap MIG welder? You can get adecent one for around $250.

We've got a welder, again, it's just a matter of it being more invloved than we'd anticipated, and not having the time to get it completed in time to be painted along with the rest of the body parts. We're painting this weekend, which is probably going to be the last decent weather weekend before harsh fall/winter starts in, and there's no way we could have it ready to paint by then. So we're going ahead with the rest of the project and I'll deal with a rear apron later.

Please, no more discussion on the issues of the rear apron, I'd like to keep this thread just for the sale.

OEM Custom part for bolt on aftermarket? I'm really disappointed here.

I was really looking forward to this Josh :(

It would probably then knock it down to like $20-30. Where are you located?

James, I hate to disappoint, but you have to understand that we just flat out don't have the time to get this fabbed up and mounted properly before we have to paint this weekend, it's just not possible. Besides, I know you're all about strictly OEM, just one area where you and I differ.

It sticks out from the body a little bit further.

You can still do it. The sides at each corner may have a slight gap at each corner but it can be bent in. The area that will be hidden by the back bumper does not have to be pretty since no one will se it. What matters is making sure everything below the bumper looks straight.

If you look at the pictures of my car you can see what I'm talking about.

Agreed. I've been talking with James, and I'm going to keep it and install it at a later date when I've got more time to work on it.
