    Rebuilt driveshaft for 87 eta

Dunno exactly how old it is, but its fairly new - rebuilt - still has the sticker on it from the driveshaft shop.

THis is from a 2/87 build date eta.

Anyone interested at say -- $80 plus shipping?

It should work on all 325i's as well. Of course, verify it yourself, but I have a 325i shaft on my post 4/86 eta (previous had the bigger flex disc).

I thought the cars with bigger shafts were post 87 eta's? I went through this crap when I converted my 85 eta to five speed.... it seems all 87 and later e30 and ALL e28 shafts were the ones with the big flange.

Come to think of it, my buddy has an 87 325e and it does have the bigger shaft.

On that note, if it is the bigger one, I would consider it an upgrade to get a matching trans output flange and flex disk and stick it on an e30. Maybe more rotating mass, but the guibo is much thicker, and stronger overall.

          Doh! you're right. My fault.
The switch was in 6/86 to the bigger flex disc on the eta's. So an eta up to 5/86 should have the same dimensional shaft as the i's (the length is slightly different, but not enough to keep it from fitting).
The stock i shaft is 6mm longer (although an i shaft still fits on my eta). They may mount slightly different as some have the bolts attached to the flange on the driveshaft while others use bolts that go through holes in the flange on the driveshaft. But they will still work.

But yeah, you can always change the output flange on the tranny and put any of them on to match.

Good eye on my misleading statement.

If indeed this shaft has the bigger guibo, then it would be perfect for anyone looking to do an M30 swap. Perfect driveshaft. Someone jump on this, or I will as a replacement!
