It's just protective plastic boots for shipping, I think They probably have normal rubber boots underneath them like this...

I agree on the outer ones but the inner ones look goofy and the shafts look really long.

I was being serious, that's why I asked my questions, not to put your product down. I don't know a damn thing about metal fatigue, powder coating, ball joint quality, etc...

The metal fatigue would be my concern. Mainly because I have personally and recently seen a control arm, on my friends e30, snap into two pieces that were less than a year old and were bought new.

Looks are deceiving. I will be sure to measure them next time and provide exact specifications.

If an arm snapped the "new" arm purchased was probably one of the aftermarket parts. The original BMW arms have not broken since new.
No offense what-so-ever on your comment. Food for thought is always good, as is a good debate and differing opinions.

Control arms dont break, they bend... I think your buddies was either a cheap cast, or a fluke.
