sounds similar to a situation that just happened to patrick(pwagon) and i. told a guy we were driving 200 miles to buy a set of wheels off him. he confirmed and said he would hold them. got halfway there and he said he wasnt home and wouldnt be home for the rest of the night. the next day we found out he had sold them earlier the same day for 50 dollars more. talk about a punch in the gut, but this kinda shit happens with craigslist vermon. i guess your friend OP needed money. sucks for us. guess ill just have to go with corbeaus

Just so there is no misunderstanings... I didn't put down a deposit. I offered he said it was not necessary. We had a deal. I made rental arrangements and got storage space.

He also offered me an opportunity to counter offer after he got an offer of 4k. I told him I was under the impression we had a deal at 2700, at 4000 I didn't feel it would have made sense for the r3v guys. He had also told me large portion of the seats had been modified with "butt kicker" speakers by removing foam.

At the end I felt it was better to walk away since his word wasn't good enough and I didn't know how many would be actually used in a vehicle.

Buttkickers......So you mean to tell me they were video game seats.....and not real recaro's......

I actually sold some wheels to a guy in Franklin, MA not too long after this debacle and he asked me if I was in the market for seats, I asked what kind, he said Recaros, and that his buddy bought a whole bunch of them and had them stashed in a warehouse.

The guy who I met was supposed to give me the tires back off the wheels and has deadbeated me for them it seems, so to get him to talk to me again I texted him if any of the recaros were available a couple weeks back. He said his buddy has 1 pair....so where the hell they all went I don't know. I've never seen any of them listed on ebay, craigslist, or anywhere I wander online, and definitely haven't heard of anyone local picking them up. It's a mystery.
