What kind of gains should be expected given the M3 history? I'm talking peak torques here.

The M3 dash has different padding, which is why it’s worth mentioning that it came from an M3.

Interesting, any idea why M3s had extra padding? Does this mean it won't fit other e30s, or that other dashes in a M3 would rattle?

My concept is extra noise insulation. The dash still fits the same. There is extra padding all over the M3 interior- I had no idea until I pulled mine apart to refurbish and looked into it once I noticed the extra goods.

Tons of style points - you'll have a NLA, Authentic E30 M3 dash in your car!

In all seriousness, AWDBOB nailed it. The dashes are otherwise the same as a regular e30 and both are interchangeable. I mentioned the padding on the off chance that someone has an M3 and wants to be authentic with their replacement.

I had a couple questions on ebay about the wiring harness. There appear to be two harnesses in the dash. The larger white connector was cut on the chassis side and therefore the dash side is untouched. There is a smaller group of wires (6-7 maybe?) that have been cut.
