Hey R3V-
I have accepted my fate and will likely not own an iX again, so I figured I'd offer up my last stash of rebuilt axles to you guys. I have also sold these on eBay over the years with decent success (from anywhere between $430 to $600 depending on stock).
As many of you know who have opened up axles before, these things get hammered. I have bought so many over the years, kept a stock of used parts, and buy cages and parts from Axles Unlimited for refurb when needed.
But basically, I fully disassemble, clean, assess, replace what parts are worn and/or damaged, chase the threads, then reassemble with GKN boots.
I have three long (passenger) side axles.
I am not making any money on this bunch, as a ton of my spares were bad (always a cracked outer joint or got water in a dry joint and ruined the whole piece).
Price: $300 plus actual s/h for each unit.
