WTB Passenger Side Gutter Chrome Trim, ***I was scammed on this***

I need the forward passenger side gutter chrome piece shipped to 30101. its the angled piece of chrome trim. I will be painting it black to match my trim. No damage or bent trim please.

Well it looks like I was scammed. This stinks that they are doing this to our E30 community. In the 15+ years i have been on these boards this has never happened. I'm glad it was only 70 dollars.

This has been going on for 8 years now. Shipping that part will cost at least $70 or more.

If you want to do a simple thing to beging to protect yourself from lazy scammers just include a nonsense word or character in your WTB title, and if they copy it in their PM just assume they are a scammer.

As a secondary proposal, we can just create WTBs for parts that do not exist and ban everyone who claims to have that part.

Clearly this won't solve it, but it might be a good step.

The easiest way to combat this as a buyer is to ask someone who has under “x” post count to take a photo with the item that includes the date and their username. Like 5% of the scammers on here have more than 10 posts, so it would weed out 95% of the scamming going on.

Yeah, it stinks. I have never had one bad experience on this forum until now. Ill just go to the dealership. They seem to have better rates with a business account than other online parts suppliers.
