    M20B25 Engine for Sale

Hello everyone and greetings from Augusta, GA. I have recently purchased a 1985 325e with 179,000 miles on it currently. I will be swapping the engine out this week and would like to sell the M20 that is in the car now. See attached for a few pictures as well as a Youtube link for a cold start video. I have not had any issues since purchasing in March 2024 and ran the car for 1500 miles. Installed new oil pan and gaskets, no leaks!! Please let me know if you are interested. https://www.youtube.com/shorts/T93Z0xMISEg

If for some reason this link above does not work, please visit my my account on Youtube with handle "foosh1989" and you can access the video there. Thanks for the look.

I'm negotiable on price. Since this is my first e30, I don't have a good feel for where the market is outside of what's on Ebay and Facebook marketplace. I was thinking $1500 is a fair asking price.

cool. so $1500 asking or negotiable then. it's all good as long as there's a number.

Looks like you have the M20B27 there. The M20B27 is a 2.7L that was used in the eta 325e and 528e cars. In 1988 there was an eta engine that was capped off with the late model 885 head. Look at some pics of the M20B25 engine - the intakes are clearly different. Also, if you look closely, the eta M20B27 (early version) will have 200 on the cylinder head. Good luck with your sale!

packratbimmer I purchased an S50 out of '95 M3 and pairing up with the original trans. Total interior transformation with new leather on the seats, new dash, Nardi Italian steering wheel, the works!! Headed to paint shop next week for engine bay once we pull this M20 out. Install the S50 and then head back to paint shop for the body. It's just money - can't take it to my grave haha!! Will definitely show some pics of the finished product when it's all done. I cant wait
