Wiring or kit for E30 sound system for 2doors and 4doors

    Hello everyone.
I understand that the thing is so rare that the search will not be easy. Nevertheless, I do not give up and try to find a new or used complete wiring specifically for the version with a two-door or four-door E30 (convertible and station wagon with other wiring options).

There is one option on eBay, but the person there gets in touch but doesn't want to make a deal, in general a strange offer.

I'll buy both the wiring separately and with the amplifier and rear speakers too.
Any offers will help me assemble my dream!

There are several versions of the BMW E30 stereo wiring harness. I was able to, through considerable patience, find a completely uncut and original harness from Canada on eBay. This was a premium 2 channel harness, designed for CM5907 radios with 2 channel outputs and a fader switch in the dash. This same harness is also compatible with the 4 channel output radio, CM5908, by deleting or bypassing the fader switch with a 2 to 4 channel adapter harness, BMW part 61101388934 still available brand new from BMW).

laying down the harness is time consuming, but generally doable. The Electrical troubleshooting manual specific to your car is very helpful for installation.

You can find replacement OEM amplifiers either from Brad or eBay, and you will likely also need the amp to body bracket for installation.

so, if you are starting from scratch, you need:
      • A BMW radio, 4 channel preferred (CM5908)
      • a “premium” stereo wiring harness, 4 channel preferred, the less cut up the better
      • a “quadraboost Blaupunkt ” amp for the trunk
      • A pair of premium speakers for the rear. These are only available used, including the woofers, tweeters, built-in crossovers and housings. These used to be around $100 for a nice pair, but they have been commanding more lately. The housings come in various colors to match the car’s interior.
      • a pair of premium woofers for the front, still available new from BMW part # 65131386546

a pair of premium tweeters for the front, 65131377688 and 65131377687
The in-door wiring for the front tweeters should be present already.

finally, the Bluetooth upgrade to the CM5908 is amazing, it transforms your 35 year old cassette player to a modern, hifi sound system that truly looks OEM.

Hi. Yes, I saw this wiring, it's strange that its catalog number is not compatible with my diagram by VIN code. In this case, I'm worried that there may be problems. I wouldn't like to risk it.

Hi.A great deal of information for my new experience.

It turns out that now I'm starting with searching for wiring/kit, I see there are enough speakers in the States (I also asked about wiring - for some reason they don't have any in stock), I'll definitely check the correct radio and I'm very happy that at least the front speakers can be bought new.

I have also seen some retrofit the Bluetooth module and I also had it on Reverse RDS.

          Thanks for info !
