both airbag and non-airbag switches are currently nla. the switch is only used in e30's nothing else is compatible. it's a common enough repair item so we hope there is sufficient demand for bmw to ask someone to mfgr them at some point again. until then used/ebay is the only option.

URO makes the pre-1987 ignition switch.

A used one is made of 30-year-old plastic, which cracks easily.

a uro one is made of chinese plastic that may not survive shipping let alone use. the wire sheathing and wires themselves are of lesser quality as well. if it works great, use it for now and plan for an oe upgrade if it becomes available. the uro will leave you stranded at some point.

even their static parts are a nightmare. i had to dremel out extra material and deck a thermostat housing of theirs just to get it to seal. their quality on electronic or moving parts will make you scream in terror.

I have many parts in my wish list on ECS. They have been steadily changed to the NLA status. Few parts reappeared.

The Chinese have the late ignition switch 61321377069 in their catalog, but not on the website. They may have it in stock.

I was able to get a working used one out of a parts car. Have to wait for a New OEM part to become available.

can sometimes get harder to find stuff through wolloth & nesch or schmeidmann. wolloth sells new parts and schmeidmann has both new and used.
