WTB trunk battery storage tray - FOR CONVERTIBLE!?

Looking for the elusive battery tray. please PM me if you have one you're willing to sell. Need it shipped to the Chicago area

UPDATED: Turns out these are for coupes (and sedans as well I assume) with the battery tray.

I'm still looking for a version of this tray that works with a convertible - assuming it even exists... The coupe version of the trunk battery tray is the only one I've ever seen online - it has a little extension area that won't work with the convertible.

anyone have a suggestion here? maybe I should just do the rear battery reloc and put in the coupe trunk liner and battery tray... Maybe the trunk liner doesn't even need to be changed - it has a dip in it for that extension area in the tray...

also looks like I need the shorter first aid kit.. different one in the 2nd pic.

I've seen a couple of trunk trays for front mounted battery cars. Bought this one from a guy in Croatia, off a 316i

                    this one's available locally

they sit in the battery well area, so a vert you may have to pull the counterbalance weight out of there. neither of them work with a battery tray.

This is an alternative. It sits on top of the trunk carpet.

thanks Rob. I have a piece of welting there in the vert (see last pic of post 1). I used to put the warning triangle there but there's nothing to really support it..

Both trays in post 10 appear to go in the trunk well where the vert counterweight or trunk mounted battery go. So neither of them is really a good option for me.

I think I'm just gonna build a platform for the coupe storage tray and call it a day - maybe modify a rear mounted battery cover. The battery reloc isn't really worth the effort, standard cable is too short..

                          anyone else have ideas?

                          thanks
