5 speed swap for IX

Auto trans on my IX is crapping out, time to go 5 speed. Looking for an entire swap preferably so I don't have to source driveshaft and transfer case separately. Pedal set and master/slave would be great too.

I'm in Northern NJ, would like to be able to drive and pick this stuff up rather than ship it as they are large items.

I have a transmission 324000km, clutch & pressure plate 5000km, rear drive shaft, pedal box, and possibly the transfer case and a fly wheel. I'm located near Woodstock Ontario Canada, I can ship if you didn't want to travel to pick up. Let me know if you are interested.

my father has two of what your looking for in southern Tenn (pulaski) has a complete rusty 5spd car for $1200 or an entire 5spd drivetrain dropped out of a rusty shell ,you can email him for further info at bmwbits@bellsouth.net

I would also take a whole car, something that is rusted out in the northeast but has a good driveline that I can pull from would be ideal. Willing to pick it up and trailer it away, but I'm not going to pay more than $5-700 for a parts car.

You do not need the drive shafts unless yours are damaged as they are the same on both manual and automatic cars. Thanks

good luck finding what you need in that price range on r3v. you are probably going to need to adjust your expectations up by 2x or so. more than likely you are going to wind up with a bad tc anyway. personally, i wouldn't sell a good working manual tcase for 500 bucks let alone an entire car.

Had a look in my storage and confirmed i
i have pretty much everything you need, still willing to ship or you are welcome to pick up

-trans
-xfer case tested and working to spec.
-clutch/pp
- clutch master & slave
-pedal box
-iX shift console, linkage, shifter

All other parts such as pilot bearing, thro out bearing, clutch hydraulic lines should probably be sourced new oem.


@ barbierij, I have a good tested auto TC available, I can ship it out, or you can make the trip up to Canada and pick it up eh! Lol
