            let me rephrase it for you english majors...

            as much as id like to keep my car close to original as possible, i dont like how these look...

            trade for euro trim for an e34, e34 taillights with the clear on top, or euro smileys

                    They are sort of a hubcap, but are a bit more 'functional'. On the back they have functional 'turbine' blades that take in air and push it towards the brakes and hubs, thus cooling them. BBS, Zender, and a few other companies also had similar caps and systems around the same time-frame as when BMW came out with these M-System goodies.
                    Yes, they sound, and are, a touch gimmiky, but they do in fact work, although I don't have any real data to back up my argument...
