            Not to piss on your parade, but have you run any FEA on the modified wheel? The material was cast there by the factory for a reason...

              He's got them on his car for testing, I think. I wondered if they'd be strong enough if they took out all the material between the spokes though.

                  I like the innovation. There is so much extra material in a stock bottlecap, I can't imagine the structural integrity has been compromised.

                  It is getting harder to get decent tires in 14" however. When even a modern Toyota Prius takes a 17" tire, you know 14s are going to be harder and harder to get.
