      IMPORTANT UPDATE #2 :!:

I spoke with Mike (the owner) today, to finalize most of the details.

PRICE. Our final price with a 15% discount is:
      • Door panels (pair) ---- $123.18
      • Rear quarters (pair) -- $108.70

HOW TO PLACE ORDERS. You CANNOT place the order via the factory website, or you won't get the discount price. E-mail the factory with your order details, at sales@performance-trim.com, and indicate that you are part of the Group Buy. Please copy me at flipper325@sbcglobal.net, so I can compare my list with the factory's.

      WHEN TO PLACE ORDERS
. You can place your order any time from now until Monday, September 21 -- that's when they will start cutting. I suggest you don't wait until the last minute, and e-mail the factory now to at least confirm your specifics/options.

PAYMENT & SHIPPING. The factory accepts both PayPal and credit cards (no AMEX). I accept PayPal at flipper325@sbcglobal.net, but please pay from a bank account, because PayPal credit card fees are higher.
      • Continental US Bulk Shipment. The cost per order will be $35 (vs. $65 for direct from the factory), and I'll ship by FedEx Ground. Please pay the factory for the parts themselves, and pay me the shipping fee when the bulk shipment is ready for distribution.
If you're paying the factory by PayPal, you'll need to include MY shipping address, not yours. E-mail me directly, copy me on your order to the factory, or PM me, and I'll provide it.
      • Direct Shipments. This is for folks in the UK, Australia, Puerto Rico, and Hawaii. Please confirm your shipping fee directly with the factory, and make one payment to them for both parts and shipping.

DELIVERY DATE. The factory will cut the panels within 10 days, or by the end of September. Shipping from the UK and distribution within the US will take about 2 weeks, so you can expect your order mid-October.

The factory leaves it up to the customer -- you can use rivets, screws, etc. Different hardware may require different hole size and location, so the panels are not pre-drilled.

Their standard cut-out options are for the release latch, manual window crank, and grab handle.

You'd have to hack them up, if you want the pads. The factory cuts these panels out of sheets. If these were contoured, individually molded parts like carbon fiber hoods, trunks, or body panels, they'd be much more expensive.

I was afraid of that. I don't think I'm up for hacking up near mint black door cards.

I'm just going to still have the DD the car for another 6 months or so, and I'm starting to wonder if I actually want no sound insulation/etc on the doors.

How come they don't have a picture of the street version without the cut-yourself-out-of-your-mint-door-panels top pad? How's the termination at the top of the street panels?

Well, that would be a good question to ask them, wouldn't it? :)

Well, you're spearheading this, you should have some answers for us. The fact that it doesn't come with the top pad is leaning me towards backing out of this...

If I need to hack my door panels for the top pad, then I may be out too? Have we gotten an answer to this yet? Also, alex, I was in for a set of street fronts and a set of rears.

                            Thanks,

Please remove my name from the list.

I don't need to tie up $400 in parts that I won't install for 6+ months.

But good work at getting this setup.
