Also, I'd like to point out that unless both dynos on the E46 were same day, same machine, they could easily be off the 11HP.

Air pressure, temperature, and humidity have a bunch to do with dyno tests.

Ok so I need to apologize again. I was really excited because they were finished and had arrived in the states. or so I thought.

apparently there was a mixup and they didnt get shipped. We contacted the company and they will ship them out ASAP. but I am gonna have to ask you guys to keep waiting. As soon as this prototype model is here, we will fit it to my car, make adjustments and have them mass produced. I again apologize for the delays.

Why is the prototype not made HERE (where your exhaust guru is supposed to reside)?

It would make sense to keep costs down buy manufacturing them in China (as long as an acceptable level of quality was maintained ), but I see no plausible reason to have the header designed and manufactured in China, shipped here, dyno tested and checked for clearence issues, THEN sent BACK for changes if there is any issues. From a seller/manufacturers stand point, that is just wastefull and inefficient.

So, what is the REAL story on this?

it is exactly what you wrote there. we have a place over there that is set upto machine these bad boys, they have sent us a prototype with single flanges - we bought white325 solid flanges that we are going to weld ontothe prototype and when we sent it back all the new ones will come with the stronger single flanges.

now this project is on track but I can only tellyou what I know. I am told that the headers are on their way here, so thats what I am telling you. I promise it will all be worth the wait - however negatice comments are not necessary. I am a full time engineering student and Anthony is experiancing family issues. Realistically these headers are not either of our top priority, but we are working on it as we can.

No negative jabs. I am a welder/fabricator, do production work, and headers (custom to each vehicle ) the way things are proceeding on this are just backwards, but you have to go about doing it the way your manufacturer dictates.

Another tip for you, on smaller engines and smaller primary tube diameters, the simple welded "cross hair " come will flow as much and as smoothly as a profiled cone at a decent $ savings for production costs. Since you are going with no larger than 1 5/8" primaries, this would apply.

the prototype headers had crappy single cylinder flanges put on them since thats what the place that made them had available. The final production units will have solid single flange pieces like these welded on. Since we didn't have dimensions handy we simply bought a set form Whitee30. These are just for the prototype.
