FYI, you can use a utility knife to pry up the emblem that comes on the remotes and replace it with the emblem of your choice. This way the emblem of your choice isn't raised in a more damage-prone position, and instead goes into the emblem recess. I only know this from replacing the emblem on my VW remote.

Does the trunk release function provide a positive power from the red/black wire? I'm guessing that the amperage isn't very high on that circuit, correct?
