Got my headers today!!! Very excited! Did a little test fit before I send them off to coating. I got mine a little early as I don't need downpipes because it's going in a 2002. I'm fabbing my own pipes. Will test fit the motor w/ headers in the '02 as well in a week or so.
Some minor notes on fitment. The front piece went on perfect no issue :) The back piece required a little massaging of the holes. Flange probably warped slightly under heat of welding, anyways no big deal just reamed out the holes ever so slightly. Also that #5 exhaust stud is still a bear. Shouldn't be too big of a deal. I'll probably shorten the stud slightly and possibly grind a little off the weld off. All other clearances from what I can tell are A OK!
Very nice. I guess we are still waiting for a manufacturer for those down pipes? Stromung didn’t want to do it? Doesn’t he have all measurements/details etc already? Frank would obviously know what is going on...
There was a roomer that we are looking at the third week of February for these to be ready for shipping...not sure if it’s true

Hey John and Frank... just shot you guys a message each, but just in case..... I do not need the completed downpipes either (as per the other Andrew's set).
looks like it has been over a month since the headers came in? Does anyone know what is the current status of this GB? Problems with down pipes or coating etc? John, any insight?
Hi guys, down pipes guy is taking too long to produce them, so it will be better and probably easier to have your local exhaust shop mate them to your particular exhaust.
Shipping out a few sets today and a remaining sets next week, sorry but been swapped at work.
as far as stud # 5, nut will fit if you start it while header is a bit away from head, then start all others after it, that way it will clear perfectly.
