That was the gift. I ordered a few of them for myself because i have 3 cars with my keyless entry system. You can order them off ebay. I have another one in leather but the fitment is not that great.

Took about 10 days to come in the mail and was $2.59 shipped.
Here is the link if anyone is interested http://www.ebay.com/itm/320936625356...ht_1790wt_1109
It took a little sanding of the edges with 400 grit to make it it fit perfectly.

Thanks mine arrived yesterday. Did they all come with the white key cover or was that my "gift". If you are able to get more of those ill buy some off of you because i live in a family of vw drivers and i had to practically fight my sister off in order to keep that cover lolLeave a comment:

Quick question i already have an aftermarket alarm, that unlocks all my doors and my trunk, would this be a problem? do i have to purchase new components? or do i just have to switch the brain?Leave a comment:

I ship world wide using usps first class mail. You'd be looking at $72 shipped.Leave a comment:

There is none. That is the alarm system that is on clearance. Basically it automatically locks the car when you turn off the igmition and exit the car.Leave a comment:

ahhhh, ok. Figured you could maybe just hook up a wire so only the trunk unlocks but seems like a waste anyway. I'm very happy einstein, thanks for this!Leave a comment:

The trunk button is a 1 wire output. It's intended for a trunk popper. You'd have to install a solenoid to make it pop the trunk open.Leave a comment:

Just an FYI, I found a guy in glendale that did it for $5 bucks and did a great job. I called a couple other locksmiths and they both referred me to this guy. Apparently not a lot of places cut these type of keys.

Used this write up and it went perfect, I just used scotch locks and I was good to go. This is SUPER easy, thanks einstein! Also when installing, note that the instructions written by FLG as seen here: http://www.r3vlimited.com/board/show...8&postcount=87, are very good.
I would like to add that in this part, "Next find green/blue and splice into that with the white/black from the controller." There is one larger green/blue wire and two smaller green/blue wires in that bundle. Use the one of the smaller ones and not the larger one.
My trunk does have an actuator in it and locks/unlocks when I hit the unlock button and vice/versa. Is there any way to make the trunk button work on the fob?
Not a big deal if it can't but just thought it would be cool.Leave a comment:
