Yup. The concave wheels look pretty good.Great job Eddy and his posse. And 17x8.5 is a perfect size for the e30. Fit some 235.40.17 rubber and ya shall be golden... ;-)

Yep they rub pretty good, but I need to raise it up a little and I'm running a ton of caster (I think it rubs in the front of the wheel well and I'm not running liners). I am also on maximum camber setting with the GC touring plates (3 degrees) and rolled and pulled.

Anyone get tires on their 8's yet?Comment
-
8" rims might be preferable for street duty. The reason being that as the width is reduced, it allows tires to have a rounder shoulder, which is softer than straight shoulders. Basically, running 235.40.17 on 8" rims is more comfortable than on 8.5"... But on the track, the round shoulders will have more flex and will make the tire less precise. Pick your poison. They each have their advantage.
BTW On my e30 M3 I was running e36 17"x9" rims on 235.40.17 and the tires were a bit stretched. 8.5" is therefore perfect for track duty. and the concave face is sooooo nice ;-)Brake harder. Go faster. No shit.

Got my 235/40s mounted on my Arc-8 concaves. The wheels did not end up clearing my Rx-7 budget BBK without a large (18mm) spacer which put the tire out past the fender. I got in touch with Massive and will be running his street kit to clear the wheels. Pictures coming this week after I bolt it all on!Comment

Was wondering about this i have an rx7 kit not yet installed and was hoping it would required less than an 18 mm spacer to fit concaves...any pics? I feel like my concaves already stick out alot past the fender with 5 mm spacers to clear front brakes. Was considering running the 8" wheels to clear the brakes not sure how it would lookGot my 235/40s mounted on my Arc-8 concaves. If someone wants to swap their concaves for some flat faces I might consider it.Comment
