So has anyone done the rear brake lines in an acceptable manner? The E39 caliper hose connection is straight off the back, so I was looking for an elbow to make the turn, but have been unable to find anything. Only solution I found so far was to convert to An fittings, which gets unnecessarily complicated and expensive.

Thanks Jon, Yes, its an option, but the hardline really needs support on both ends. Otherwise vibration will work it over time.

I'll keep looking into it, and see if I can find a better solution.

        Thanks,

        Chris

I would be interested in a set of front pieces only. I have the rear parts already. Let me know if you still have anything to sell me!

Maybe you can find some of these to suit your application, with banjo bolts.

Yes Jon, i thougt that might be a good solution as well, but I am not sure if the caliper needs a milled face for the sealing washer to seal to. Let me know if you know the answer, as it would be a nice solution. Perhaps a little time with a file would get the job done, as the caliper has a raised area where the line connects.

Do you guys use loctite on the hubs front and rear?

I did not use loctite on the hub bolts, but I did on the brake backing plate screws. Seems like they always loosen up over time.

Ok I was thinking of using loctite since the lock ring cant be used anymore.

So I put together a nice solution for the rear brake line, using a 9" stainless brake hose, with a banjo end on one end, a AN 3 female on the other. Then got a conversion coupling to change the hardline outlet to AN3 for the hose to hook onto.

Also went with different bolts than the kit. The rear bolts were too long, so I ordered shorter ones, and the fronts were too short, so I ordered longer ones. I can put up all the part numbers if anyone needs them. ( I used z4 rear hubs, so bracket was machined)

Won't be able to road test for a couple weeks, but it all fits together nicely.

                          Chris
