    Mothers clay bar.

I got the kit that comes with the Showtime quick detail to use as a lubricant for the clay. Works really good and it is easy. The 20 year old paint is now smooth, it would feel like glass if I didnt have to many chips and dings and it got it all set up for the wax. Which is used the Mothers 3 step. It has polish, sealant and then carnuba wax. I was not as impressed with that, but still nice. So for 20 bucks and about an hour of work the results are great. Here is a picture. You can see where I taped it off. The area towards the camera has been clayed and the background hasn't. I should have taken some other pictures with a real camera but maybe next time along with a writeup.

I have use all the general market clays, none of which is any more better than anotehr. I think until you get into the professional detailing where youa re using differetn quality clay for specific applications, any of the clay on teh market is the same.

Doesn't the Showtime polish smells like cinnamon? Or is it just me?

what's annoying is all the local stores only sell mothers brand clay bar, and only in that stupid kit. i'd like to just get a box of clay bars. if i was smart i'd order them online.

I picked up the same kit today, I was kind of weary about starting as i've had no real hand in detailing. But once i started it was easy as.
Came up fantastic in seconds, no scratches or anything at all.

silly putty wont work. Playdough doesnt either.

Its gotta be just the right kind of clay or it wont pull the oxidized shit off your car.

i did this about a month ago and i burned through two bars because they were getting extremely discolored. the car had been sitting in a hangar for a couple years and the paint was bumpy as hell...clay bar and wax and she looks and feels purty
