any idea if the skid plate still fits with a 24v swapped e30. I believe my oil pan is sitting a little lower then a m20 varient, but I deffinitly wanna get your skid plate.

I'd definitely pick one up for my Euro 24v swap.

I'm normally a cheap ass like people could see in my Mark D chip thread i got flamed for, but i completely agree with his price, that's a good deal!

I'm assuming it's plate steel rather than aluminum though, aluminum doesn't hold up well to impact (ask people why they buy these and you'll find out what aluminum does when impacted). ;)

The steel alone is worth around $40, factor in his labor, most work like this costs around $40-$50 an hour. His tig welding wire (plus the initial cost of his tig welder...that extension is tig welded on...right?), the bits for his hole saw (again, plus the cost of the actual hole saw), the metal bender, plus probably $30 for shipping, the price and labor of boxing.

I find his price very reasonable.

Plus overhead, plus business taxes, plus employee payroll and insruance. Shop insurance. Day to day operations, heat in winter, A/C in summer.

It is sad when people complain of price and don't pay any of these bills.

Oh, and from what i'm told, welding aluminium is a b*tch and a half.

It attaches to the bottom of your core support and the mounts for your steering rack on the front subframe.

Its made from 1/8" aluminum.

Ok, because that beats the everloving crap out of only attaching to the front valence like it kinda looked like. That should be one sturdy mofo. I may get one this summer... esp. if it can be painted black...

i saw one on yesturday and as soon as the money comes in im getting one because i think its kinda stupid if you dont want to protect that oil pan.. ive smaked mine twice in one week

I can't remember where I read it but isn't there a problem with the skidplate and the converitibles setup? I might purchase one if I can get this other convertible

How hard of a shock will it take? being aluminum and all? I need to remove my front tires, and straight up drive around to make sure its' all good!?! I live in Quebec, and when you see 5inch lips on the street, following a 5 dip, making 120kph very sketchy..
I'm on my third pan now, and i don't want to go back to stock ride height... help me pls.
