$800 for a pair of bars + 180 for labor? No thanks, I'll pass. This amount of money could go towards tires or even a roll bar ... or hookers. lolMtech1 v8 build thread - https://www.r3vlimited.com/board/sho...d.php?t=413205

Hey, if top dollar parts make your pants get tight, so be it, if your a checquebook modder who loves big dollar invoices in your glovebox to get extra status, so be it, I have a feeling this guys bread and butter comes from the above mentioned niche.
Then there are those of us who know which way turn a screwdriver to tighten things, and know how to save a buck or two towards other mods will not be in his customer list. It's ok, we know where to buy a part without the
"best of the best" , "best shit" , or any other dollar spending lingo.
Maybe you should partner with DPI. He sells lot's of bars, bet he could move your superior product too.

The reality is you can't develop the equipment we do under a shade tree, nor can it be produced whith a shop bench vise, cheap MIG, and a hack saw. Keep blowing smoke up your own ass if you like.Hey, if top dollar parts make your pants get tight, so be it, if your a checquebook modder who loves big dollar invoices in your glovebox to get extra status, so be it, I have a feeling this guys bread and butter comes from the above mentioned niche.

I have been following this for awhile and I am going to point out a few things.
A) You may have a nice part, but that is more money then a lot of people, including me, paid for their e30.
B) You have engineered a part that only has value over a Sparco in a serious competitive track setting. A setting which you would most likely have a cage and therefore not see the gain.
C) This is your customer base you are talking to right now, this is the biggest e30 community. If you can not prove your product right here, you are in trouble.
D) You need a real way to quantify the gains. The 300% reduction you are speaking about is really impossible to believe under normal conditions. Gustave does a really good job describing how a strut bar reduces camber changes on his site e30m3performance.com.
E) HOW CAN YOU OFFER THE SAME DESIGN IN TWO DIFFERENT MATERIALS!!!!! That makes no since at all considering the difference between steel and aluminum. I would love to see a comparison between your aluminum bar and the Sparco bar.Comment

E 1st, I don't recommend the aluminum bar on the street, the control of chassis flex is comparable to the steel, however I feel that there are crashworthiness issues because the possibilities of shearing and intrusion in a collision.I have been following this for awhile and I am going to point out a few things.

C: as to a client base, no not really.
A: $405 isn't a lot of money for a front and rear brace. Some people here don't read (or do the math) very carefully.
B&D: Better control of flex is better control under any condition, and this bar will fit all e30's including the M10 and M42 power plants.Comment

I did some more research on the 1 in 218 people dieing from falls.
Type of Accident or Manner of Injury / Deaths / One Year Odds / Lifetime Odds
Falls, Total, 19,656 / 15,054 / 193
Fall on same level from slipping, tripping, and stumbling, 698 / 423,920 / 5,442
Other fall on same level, 5,224 / 56,642 / 727
Fall involving bed, chair, other furniture, 9 / 329,139 / 4,225
Fall on and from stairs and steps, 1,690 / 175,086 / 2,248
Fall on and from ladder or scaffolding, 477 / 620,327 / 7,963
Fall from out of or through building or structure, 533 / 555,152 / 7,126
Other fall from one level to another, 694 / 426,363 / 5,473
Other and unspecified fall, 9,441 / 31,342 / 402
According to this, you are approximately twice as likely to fall out of your bed and die, then fall off a ladder and die.
I also find it somewhat intriguing that people are dieing from "slipping, tripping and stumbling" on the same level surface. I mean I've wiped out pretty good before on banana peels and the like, but never died. That's nuts!Comment

A lot of elderly people die from falls, loss of equilibrium, brittle bones... probably the cause of the high statistic.I did some more research on the 1 in 218 people dieing from falls.

A lot of toddlers die from falls too. "Accident" is the #1 cause of death for children under 12 (or at least it was when I was last presented with the stats).
This is a pleasant way to derail this already kludged thread isn't it...Comment

I just read this thread. Can I have my 8.5 minutes back?
The internet is full of opinions and attitudes.
I submit getting in an epissing match can't be good for business.

Yes, you are probably right on that one. I've always been a little low on the appropriate behavior scale.
On the Up side of things...
I just picked up the e30 sub brace ( a must for the convertibles...still can't figure haw BMW dropped the ball on that one) prototype from the fabricator for fit and finish testing this afternoon.
So...What color for the Braces when we go into production? Red or black?Comment

Your logic takes every last bit of fun out of the vivid picture in my imagination of random people slipping and falling and just dieing.Comment
