I like that knob a lot, I think the clear anodized will look really good. I like the shift pattern as is and would not mind it bigger but I don't think you should change the shape of the shifter. I agree on cutting the pattern a little deeper though, that will be cool.

Sorry Dan, I retract my offer of the blem knob. I realize now that I made the hole too big in this one. It won't stay put perfectly on the shaft. I will try to repair it by pressing in a plug and machining it again, but there are no guarantees.

Your stainless part will still go out Monday though. I will put the blem one back up for sale if I can fix it to my satisfaction. Or, if anyone has some other car that has a .6004" (15.25mm) shaft, I'll sell it to them as is.

BTW, I just got in the set screws that I wanted- they are 4-40 and are locking type with a spot of nylon melted onto the side of them. They should stay put pretty well.

I would be interested in a black shift knob with a cut for the stock shift pattern layouts.

              Rob, thanks for prepaying...
I am driving the parts over to EPS (the anodizers) on thursday. I think that I will have enough of an idea as to customization that I can make a few stock variations of the parts. This means I will be able to ship everything at the beginning of next week. I hope this is not too much of a delay...

              Thanks,
              Chris

I am in for sure on the clear anodized one, just waiting for pics.

Can I send you a money order for it? PayPal sucks so I don't use it anymore.

Yeah, I didn't get it finished until after UPS closed. Sorry, it'll go out tomorrow at a reasonable hour.

I tried something new on your shifter:
I reamed the hole for the shift lever to 14mm exactly - it is almost airtight when the shifter slides over the lever. You can hear the pop when you pull it off. :) I think you'll be happy with it. Do you want the shift pattern or not? I think it looks sweet without it...

I have indeed tested it on my car, I drove home with it last night. It feels pretty good, but there is no way I would want one that heavy. It is around 2 pounds. I would need to fix up my shifter linkage before going to anything near that.
