My guess is that it's so close to when the last one ended (only a few months correct?), so anybody who had the cash to get one already did so in the last GB.

      Just a thought.

My biggest qualm about buying the Street kit is the lack of an "equivalent" type upgrade on the rear.

..could be........but Id assume some peeps did not do last gb because they had no money then.... its a good deal........I mean 5 people!!!

Do you track?....I track mainly..Im not even worried about the rears... Lee set up the Streets for stock rears... I think Sport as well......

for rear upgrade ....pads alone are fine.

Can you elaborate?....maybe Im confused. I know you are going s52.........and Ill be doing S50 as well.

I will be tracking and Auto-Xing the car once done.

I'm really more interested in the Sport kit because of the Superlite caliper, space isn't an issue for me running 17s. And I'd like to be able to match the rear kit to it later down the line.

Why not just get the Race kit? It's the same price as the Sport, you say you can fit 300x32mm rotor profile under the 17s, and they are made to match the 300x32mm rear kit.

Though, I think Lee is looking into a rear kit for the sport/street kits too.

I'm beginning to get more interested in the Street kit, especially with the possibility of a rear kit coming.

And the Street's would fit easily under 15 x 9s in case I get serious about Auto-X and want to run 275/35/15s next year. Running 275 or narrower in SM also gets you a 200lb weight break.

For this GB or for the rear kit? I'm saving my monies for f/r Race kits, as my car's going to be doing serious track time and I would like the extra peace of mind. Mostly it's a money issue right now though, I can't justify spending money I barely have on parts I won't install for 6 months when I get back in the country.

A front and rear street kit sounds quite good though (and is a good bit cheaper than the other option).....but I don't know how it would withstand serious track time, hence the f/r Race kits.

If stock brakes with the correct fluid/pad/ducting setup work, why wouldn't the Street kit be enough?

Are you building an HPDE car or a race car?

Just curious......what is "serious track time"?...what tracks?..

                        what engine do you run?......

No offense meant here.......Im just wondering. I basically ONLY track my car.....w/ her m20......but she'll see an s 50 later this summer....and Id like more frt brake.

I know of ALOT of fast m20 track cars running stock size brakes.....some Spec guys are some of the best around...they run stock size brakes. Im just trying to figger out why you want so much brake?.....plus Id like to get a 3rd dude on board..hehehe

Well, currently none. I'm in Germany, car's in CO. Before I left, and once I get back, the car goes to the local tracks around Denver-- HPR, PPIR, etc. The reason I'm thinking of f/r Race is to only spend the money once, and the 300x32 kits would be perfect for the 300+ hp I plan to run.

Currently, it's just an M20, and thinking more about it, the Street kits are looking more and more like all I need. I may indeed be in on this, I need to think more about it though.

No, S50B32 or S54 (check swap thread on bimmerforums, it's officially been done now, though not by me), shooting for 330whp NA. I will get back to you on the Street kit, as the motor swap won't be happening for years, frankly.
