Yeah, it's a major pain in the ass, and if you don't drill right its hard to make it fit well.Originally posted by Robit'd suck to have to bolt them up. part of the charm of the iS lip is that if you need to go up on ramps or hit a curb, it pops off....Comment

So measure twice mark Once and use a auto centerpunch. As far as Rob say yea they pop of then you "Squish em like the Fish" Patriots rule this Year oh what it's hopefully gonna be an All Boston Team sport this year.. Go Celtics. Where's the Bruins this year, oh for that matter nobody has even missed NHL. That's :( hard to believe they did it to themselves.Originally posted by DigitalwaveYeah, it's a major pain in the ass, and if you don't drill right its hard to make it fit well.Originally posted by Robit'd suck to have to bolt them up. part of the charm of the iS lip is that if you need to go up on ramps or hit a curb, it pops off....Comment

I solved that with my FB is lip. Drilled 20 tiny holes that reasonably line up with the holes for the spoiler clips, and used 20 small zip ties (rated 20lbs each IIRC) to secure it. The holes don't have to line up perfectly, and the ties give out before the lip breaks (although it's just about as flexible as that one anyways). It also takes 60 seconds to replace any of them, and they cost nothing. I've already gone underneath about 3 times since August, I'd be pissed off if my lip kept completely popping off getting run over and ruined(as happened to my original BMW lip, repeatedly).Originally posted by Robit'd suck to have to bolt them up. part of the charm of the iS lip is that if you need to go up on ramps or hit a curb, it pops off....
I'd suggest a similiar setup to anyone who picks one of these up.Comment

Drifters in Japan have been using zip ties to hold on their body kits for years. That way the body panel comes off before it breaks off.Comment
