It looks like you just put the allen bit into a common socket size on your wrench and it becomes a 14mm allen head socket for tightening the lug bolts.

I think the smaller allen key helps to screw the lugs into the hub. The lugs probably are keyed for it on the hub end.

The two nuts are set up to jam against each other to torque each lug into place. The Loctite holds everything in place.

I've been looking for something good quality like this and priced well.....
I heard that Kosi's have a small hole size for lug nuts and some splined drive nuts do fit. Do you know if it would fit in tight applications like this?
That is all exactly right, couldn't have said it better myself.

Yes that is another benefit of this design, the fit into tight lug holes much easier. And since you are using the center of the lugnut there is much less chance of messing up the finish in the lug holes.

We can provide longer studs , 2.125", but we do not recomend using anything more than an 8mm spacer.

are you sure about that? my bottlecaps, basketweaves and TSW hock's all had cone seats. I don't think any E30 wheels use ball seats, but some VW wheels do.

Youre right, we went over this but I was mistaken, e30 wheels do use cone seat lugs.. so there are no issues

We don't deal with any larger than 8mm, again too much liability.

                Sorry,

Does blackforest sell spacers as well? (Looking for 8mm ones ideally, hubcentric.....but was also looking at IE's 6.35mm ones)

Also this might not apply to ur kits, but with cheaper lugs of this type, there is more chance of the lugs cracking.

Like a socket, then ur screwed u can't get the lug off without damaging ur wheels.
This happened to someone, the lug nut rusted and cracked....the key no longer worked.
                  His wheel was fuked after

We have naver had that happen with these kits. However the allen keys should NOT be used with impact guns.

on the topic of a lug breaking, couldnt u just put a hex bit socket in the middle of the broken lub and take out the whole stud?

Quick question, if I have wheels that use spacers and would require longer studs, could I also switch to stock wheels or would the longer studs be too long for the nuts to contact the wheel?

No they would work, the studs are fully threaded

Wow, stud kits makes things a LOT easier. It takes 5 minutes to jack up, remove the lugnuts and the wheel, and then put everything back......instead of 5 minutes just putting the wheel and bolts back in! Makes rotating tires no longer a half hour task, and I don't look upon looking on working on my car as negatively anymore as it's not a pain, but a breeze.

Good doing business with you, and hope others take advantage of the deal.

And btw, for those who might be curious:

The stock wheels & center cap fit on the longer stud (with no spacers on).
