Just tuck the wire and receptactle up under the dash and have it come out to a place of your liking (glovebox, center console kick panel, etc) for such needs.

i just got rid of mine all together... nothing has ever been plugged into that lighter since 1986 and i doubt that anything ever would...
however if you did wish to keep it it would be simple to relocate it somewhere elsee30sport.net
