can GC valve ix koni's to work with a coilover setup. Its not listed on the site but i want to do a custom setup and was curious if they would do that.

Ok folks, small update. I'm waiting on a call back on the iX setup. I don't deal very much with the iX in a performance sense, so I should get a call back about that one shortly.
As it turns out, the rear e30 Konis are not externally adjustable, so you will need to remove them from the car, compress them, and then rotate the adjuster tab on the top of the piston to adjust the valving. These shocks do not require special rear RSMs for that reason.- Jason

The rears ARE adjustable...but you have to remove them from the car to adjust them. The are not externally adjustable, meaning you cannot adjust them while they are on the car. 1. The default setting is the softest setting. If you require a firmer ride, you can rotate the adjuster as needed to firm up the damping.
2. The available settings on the Koni dampers are more than sufficient to cover the spring rates of the IE Stage 3s. There is no need for revalving.
**Clarification on some information**
I have learned the standard Konis are able to handle spring rates up to 650# per inch without custom valving. For those purchasing Konis and a coilover setup with springs over 650#s, the revalving is included. For spring rates 650# and less, the shocks are DYNO tuned to match the selected spring rated.
For those wanting the pre-dyno tuned shocks (to match your existing springs: i.e. IE Stage 3s, H&R Sports, Eibach Pro-Kits, etc..) I have inquired for the GC rate to dyno tune. However to save everyone here the time/money, I would recommend a couple of trial runs after installing your car to adjust to your liking.
With regards to the 325ix question, GC does not offer any coilover solutions for the 325ix. From what I understand, the designing of a system for that car has been attempted and the designs played with, however no good solution has been found. The rear set up is not difficult considering the design in the rear doesn't differ much from a standard e30, however the front design is where all of the problems have been encountered. Again, if you require shocks to match with springs over 650# per inch, I've inquired about the rate for custom valving. Please PM if you will require this, otherwise adjusting the standard Konis on the car will save you a lot of time and money.
