you know I think it has everything to do with how you mount it and little to do with the construction of the lip. I've nailed cones and bottomed out my faux Rieger lip many times (there's no paint left on the bottom of it) and nothing ever happened to it. as long as it doesn't come off (mine's held on with zip ties) there should be no problems.

I'm in for that Rieger splitter, if it's $180 or less. Does it just attach with clips like the iS one? Also, whats the deal with the DTM lip - does it just attach to the bottom of the Rieger?

Held on by IS clips but like Nando said; extra reinforcement the better..

          I'll post a new thread...

Arrgg! Is anyone taking the lead on this GB for is lips? How many do we need to get them for the price that Patrick quoted?

Edit: I will organize all that are serious buyers for this GB. Info at this link:

Dude everyone is getting the Riegers instead. I'm not sure you will find a lot of people getting the iS lip when the Rieger is just $50 more.

So far we only need 2 more people for the is lip. There seems to be people out there that would rather have the OEM look. Add the Ryan G splitter to it and it's even better.

I like the Rieger but I prefer the is lip. IMO the Rieger juts out too far and the edges are too rounded.
