Wouldn't mind having some quality sideskirts, just hope its not too expensive. Interior trim sounds like a good idea.

I think a splitter for an IS lip, some sideskirts and an M-tech wing would be absolutely tits!'89 325is S50 Track Montser

This is my friend's M3. The sideskirts don't have to be exactly like this but I think something along these lines (with the combination of exposed carbon and paint) would be absolutely amazing. If this could happen I definitely wouldn't mind forking over some cash for them!

ANother idea for the pot: Carbon Euro bumper trim... and door trim pieces
I have a gauge cluster that is a hartge dash overlay I'll snap some pics and people can chime in for interest, but it could be copied.
I would like to see a door pocket/pull combo
OK, so:
Functional sunroof (price allowing)
late model plate filler
ryan g splitter
brake ducts
kidney rings
tweeter sails
carbon mtech1 rear spoiler
outer door handle
I would need prices and a bit to pull the cash together but those are my general interest piecesLast edited by lordofmpower; 01-06-2007, 10:09 AM.

He can do the bumper trims and door pieces IF you don't mind them being held on with Super 77 spray adhesive OR 3m double sided tape. He and I discussed that but he has no way of making them mount the way they do now.
As far as your list. This is right on point. I've got a few other small things I'm sending him to be molded and we'll see what he comes up with. Trust me.... as soon as I get pictures... you guys will get pictures.

i'm am not an expert in composites but i would think he could sink studs in the Resin after the piece is formed and cured, on the back side for the door trim and maybe the bumper trim. like make a little circle of solid resin and drill and tap it.. or just sink the stud in the uncured resin as a second stage and cure either way i wouldn't mind, he could do it or i could do it. I would need to know what resin base he uses so there is no chemical reaction. I would think if he can pull off a functional sunroof he can manage a stud on the back side of a trim piece.

His idea is to form the piece from fiberglass, drill the holes according and put in studs. once the studs are in he'll go over it with another layer of glass and then the fiber. But all that work for bumper trims or door moldings would make them fairly expensive.
The plate fillers..... I need to get an early model one. They are fairly uncommon even in Germany. But I'll do my best in finding one.
The outer door handles I'll save for a one off run of maybe 10 as I don't think they'll be too popular. We'll see. I want to get some of the large stuff knocked out first and then start stockpiling the small stuff so that you guys can have it when you want it instead of having to have group buys for everything.

Sideskirts Please! I'd be glad to help out with the design process if that would make it more of a possibility! I know there's a bunch of other guys around here who are very good designers too, maybe someone could work out some ideas too?'89 325is S50 Track Montser

At the current time he needs something to make a mold FROM. He has no way to do injection molding or anything like that. He basically makes an inner or outer mold from fiberglass and then lays the fiber over that. Once its done, its cut and trimmed to size, resined and then sanded and resined and repeat the process according to what YOU want. He'll do things as strong or as weak as you want them. Matter of fact we are chatting right now about getting a whole car to be able to test fit parts as they come off the line as finished pieces.

Alright, so how do we get some sideskirts that we can make a mold from? If anyone has any thoughts please PM me or AIM me!'89 325is S50 Track Montser

Max, if I can mock something up out of cardboard and send it to your guy, would that be sufficient or would you need a more substantial material? I'd try to get it as solid and accurate as I could... Let me know, I'd love to see this happen!'89 325is S50 Track Montser
