I haven't been here long but if you read through the threads you will some poor guy busting his ass to try to make everybody happy and he ends up not being able to do the buy or not getting much of a discount since so many people will fall through. I think that was the original point of Dave's reply but you both seem to have gotten off track here . My 2 cents.

Dave is right. Group buys on here are seriously a waste of time. Probably 95% of them fail. Anyhow, you should really just call up BMA. They'll price-match anything and you can just pick it up.

Not to pick a side but I have to agree with Dave. Group buys are not worth the time. You could have ordered the item and installed it and been playing with it while all the group buyers are waiting for that last guy to come up with the cash.

Dude, where do you come up with that? You absolutely need to do something other than Law. My dads a lawyer and I know that part of the job is reading people...and you have no talent for it. If it makes you feel any better I work 16-18 hours a day 5 to 6 days a week. On my weekends off I Did my own bodywork and painted my own car. That in itself is a couple hundred hours after a 90 hour work week. What you do this year change some shocks? Sorry dude just thought somebody maybe had an in and would want to get something started? Who's fonzie? At the end of the day your delusional at best! You may be right about group buys, I didn't know they were a waste till now, maybe they should delete that section then. I never in that post insulted you. I stated my opinion on how group buys tend to go and why you can't really expect someone to start one at your request.

I then went on to give you my advice, that is to call BMA and haggle your best deal.

As a guy who has taken a lot of cases to trial in 12+ years, I can tell you that storytelling is part of it - perhaps part of my first post had a little bit of that flavor. But nowhere in that post did I resort to the contemptible name calling you brought into this discussion.

While in our case, I am not sure there really was a debate, if there was, I think the overwhelmingly clear result is that my point prevailed.

Everyone who chimed in, and eventually, even you, agreed that this group buy process is often a waste of time.

On a tangential note, the reason for this sub-forum as I see it is for someone who has taken care of the logisitics of a group buy, or perhaps a vendor, can offer a group buy.

I have yet to see any successful group buy started by someone asking someone else to do the work. There may be examples here, but I do not have the time to look for them.

I don't do real estate, nor do I do wills. I am, generally speaking, a trial lawyer. I handle civil and criminal trials and appeals. I have a damn good track record as well.

SO. . . , I suggest take your angry eyes off and re-read my first post.
