Will it fit behind 16x7 ET25 BBS RS 003's?
BBS RS wheels are usually very flat inside, which do not yeld much room. In order to make sure, please email me at massivebrakes@gmail.com and I will forward you profiles for:

    - 11.75" x 1.25" race kit with Superlite
    - 11.75" x 0.81" street kit with Superlite
    - 11.75" x 0.81" street kit with NDL
    - Superlite vs NDL

Using those profiles is the only way to make sure a kit fits. here is a picture depicting how to test a profile on an SSR Comp wheel. The kit profile being tested is the one for street kit + Superlite. Clearances are pretty tight and replacing the Superlite calipers with Narrow body Dynalite would prove a better solution.

Sorry. No kit to fit 15" wheels on M3s. The M3 kit with 13" rotors requires 17" wheels with a lot of room, or e36 wheels and 25mm spacers.

Here is a Team Dynamic Pro Race wheel and M3 kit.

          Hi Rob

I take Paypal and bank money orders if there is a bank phone number on the back to verify authenticity. I sold my last race kit. But plenty of street kits will be available by mid week next week. Don't send any payment yet.

Lee, what are your thoughts on Billet NDL vs. forged NDL?

I asked some friend who's also a Wilwood retailer and races dirt "modified" classes. Cars with 2500lbs and 800HP. He told me they use those cast Narrow Dynalite for rear brakes as they are stiffer than the billet ones. But they are not available in small piston sizes, which the Billet NDL can offer.

I am currently designing rear race kits for 2002s and for e30s (318-325) which will use Billet NDL with 1.12" or 1" pistons. It is good to know if you are sometimes surprised by prices, that Willwood makes way more Dynalites than Billet NDLs. And therefore the Dynalites are a bit cheaper. Also, following the same reasonning, they make more calipers with 1.75" pistons than with 1.12" pistons, so the big guys are also cheaper.

Hey Blunt. How are you? Guess what? I found a local M3 with a slight dent on the nose that the owner (a car broker who has three others) will let me have the S14 motor to fit in my own 2002 racecar. It is supposed to be a low mileage too. Back to topic. The picture indicates you opted for the UL rotors instead of the HD. It is also a good choice as those UL rotors with directional vanes are more than enough even for an all out racecar. I did two seasons on a set of UL. I can also see that you have the batch of kits I made a year ago with the stainless steel domed head bolts. I reported to my fastener supplier afterward that those bolts were a bit out of specs as their overall diameter was perhaps 0.1mm too big. Which is why for this batch only, inserting the bolts needed a bit more care. Like pushing the bolts by hand instead of letting them drop in the holes.

Anyway, it is nice to see another 2002 with enough brake for a 540i.

More pictures of the e30 race kit with Superlite forged calipers.

Before installing the two-piece rotors on the hubs, carefully clean the hubs with a wirebrush to remove any rust. Depending on the brand of your hub, the hat may need a certain pressure to slide. This is normal. All the parts are made with very tight clearances. With time, it will slightly loosen up. Clearances are so tight, to ensure any unwanted vibrations, that you may even have to cool the hats in the freezer before installing them on your rotors which should be at room temperature. When racing, the aluminum hats, which expands a bit more than steel, will perfectly keep the rotors centered, nut with the bolts but thanks to a ridge that holds the disc in its center. This is the reason for no vibration under any condition. This proprietary design (currently in the long and costly patent process) is what makes the kit trouble-free, safe and easy to run.

The only mod to the strut is to cut the small tab for the backing plate. An angle grinder with a cutting disc will take 3 minutes of your day to do this clean mod.

Mate the bracket, stainless steel spacers (between bracket and caliper), caliper and washer, using the 12.9 graded countersunk bolts and Nylock nut. Tighten to 75-80ft.lbs. Then slide the assembly behind the strut's mounting ears. Adjust caliper height depending on your pad. Tighten to 80-85ft.lbs.

This is the first BBK I've seen that has me excited. Finally someone addresses (and even explains) pertinent engineering issues where other manufacturers simply want you to "trust them" that it's what you want/works for you.

Currently trying to sell one of my cars - if it goes through, expect an order from me. :)

What's the total cost for a 1.25" front 325 kit with polymatrix A pads?
Would you mind emailing me the profile so I can test wheel clearance?

What brake pad brand and compounds are avalible. From what I am reading if I am running 16 ssr comps with 15mm spacers I should have enough room for most kits.

Most brands have pads for the 7420 backing. Hawks, Ferodo, Performance Friction, etc. The Superlite caliper is a very popular model which is well served with pad selection.

As for caliper clearance, email me and I will forward you all the profiles you need.

After I add my e30 M3 trailing arms and strut housings, I am on these! It was either this of Brembo - but I like this price. Should I upgrade my MC as well?

It is always a good thing to have the bigger 25.4mm MC as it allows a shorter pedal travel. Brembo doesn't make kits with two-piece rotors for the front, and they have no rear kit. The only company that makes a front and rear race kit (no rubber boots) is AP Racing and it costs $2800 per end. Replacement/maintenance parts are extremely exensive. Those kits use 28mm rotors while I use full race 32mm thick rotors.

For M3s I offer two kits. The economy kit with Superlite calipers, and the regular one with 6-pots radial mounted SL6R calipers. My website will be ready this week. As soon as it is ready, I will sponsor R3V-Limited and get a banner. Can't wait.

Currently, if one types www.massivebrakes.com, it ends up on a welcome page hosted by my friend.

I will be getting a set. I will probably buy soon as well. :) Do you have a part # I should use for my e30 "IS" MC? I remember hearing that a 7 series would work...?
