GB: CD43 Indash Business CD Players

I want to start a group buy on the factory CD43 indash Business CD Player. I have talked to some people and it looks like pricing would be around $305 shipped if we can get about 10 people on board with this. This unit should be mostly plug and play and is a really nice upgrade to the older tape decks. CD Players will carry a 1 year warranty and have not been used or installed. Post here if you are interested.

    Jimmy

EDIT: This group buy is official. Between this board and E34.net I have enough interested parties to make this happen.

Official price is $305 shipped to the lower 48 for the CD43 head unit. The DICE Electronics ICE Link will be available for $140 shipped.

You can pay be either sending a money order or by including an additional 2.5% and paypal.

Please PayPal $305 to jwherrold@gmail.com for the CD43 and additional $140 if you would like the DICE Link.

I have direct plug and play adapters on the way as well for those without the 17 pin connections.

The Denison IceLink is suppost to be able to be hooked up to the CD Changer input and you can control the ipod from the headunit.

I checked the ICE Link which will allow you to charge your ipod as well as control it from the head unit. Pretty slick little device considering I would like to conceal the IPOD. Also, it will display the name of the song/artist etc on the radio! Price on the Link is 140 shipped with the CD player.

Well yes, I havent put one into an E30 yet. I know for a fact that it is plug and play for the E36, E34, and E38. If the harnesses are the same, it should plug directly in, if not, there will be minor wiring.

The ICE link plugs directly in.

Are these new units, or reconditioned?

Damn damn damn. Wish I had a spare $305 sitting around. This would be perfect for the GF's car...or mine.

I'm gonna check around and see if anyone makes a USB interface for this. I want a 40GB hard drive in each of our cars.

Shit, i was planning on spending a lot of time making a CD53 work with a custom hvac. I thought that was the only oem player that could be used with an ipod. This would make my life easier if the Icelink works well. I could save money with the 53 though...

ok i read this, BUT, the way i have my stereo set up now is with an aftermarket deck, running front/rear/sub pre-amps to a 4channel and a mono amp powering 2 sets of components and a single 12". i am retarded with stereos, so now i need to understand how to make this work with the cd43...

the way im reading from the above link is that the cd43 has 2 sets of amp outputs for the front and rear that go to a stock amp, but what to do if I want to run the stereo the way i have it now? I would LOVE to have a stock looking stereo, i HATE the way my aftermarket one looks....

On my old E36 M3 I ran a line level converter (i think that was what it was called) which tapped off the speaker lines and provided RCA hookups. I think it was around $15 or so.

So Like this is a recommended unit in your book?

Also the factory does have an adapter that plugs this unit from E30 direct to it.

Since most of us are buying them for E30's...
Including the plug would REALLY bowl me over.
As it stands, my wallet is still in my pocket.

p.s. then it would truly be plug and play.
