Well, I have a custom harness produced and am waiting on 1 more piece which hopefully should be here tomorrow. Ill keep you updated.

I will break down the total cost of the harness. I expect it to add about $9 if you need it. I am using all BMW and 3M terminals- its a nice harness.

These have to be reconditioned. My price at the dealer is over $575, retail is over $850.

So what's the latest? How many people have committed to this GB? I'm intrested in getting in on it but only if it comes with a harness that makes it plug and play. I don't have time to fiddle with the wires to figure out how to make it work.

It is still taking place. BMW makes a plug and play connector if you dont have the newer style harness. This piece runs about $50 and you can purchase it through me.

I currently have the factory tape deck in-with a tape stuck in it. I'm pretty sure I don't have the newer style harness because last month I went to install my Alpine cda-9833 and there are all sorts of wires and plugs coming out of that tape deck. I didn't feel like messing with it so the tape deck is still in there. Do you have the part number for the piece you're talking about?

Luke maybe you could help me/us out. I have the non premium BMW sound system now. I'd like to do the CD43 install but am unsure what I'd need to do it. Above it says a couple pieces, antenna adapter, the said BMW plug and play harness; but anything else you can think of? Is there a good way you can share to get the CD43 to flush mount? And would you consider installing a CD43 easier or harder than installing an aftermarket deck?

Any chance of you packaging together some kind of install kit [maybe a couple versions?] with:

• the unit
• an adapter harness
• and maybe a couple add-on options like the adapters for the DICE unit

for those us us audio-technically-challenged would be very nice since as I understand it these units aren't PnP.
