There is nothing personal about it Matt, don't get confused. I think Mel is a sack of shit for dodging all the complains he has had against him for the valance and wheels... and everyone on the forum deserves to know he pushes subpar products out the door then deny's they are his!

It's pretty clear there's a problem with the quality of the parts coming out of this place. I'd rather someone say it than no one.

If by that you mean me bashing the guy that registered on the forum to say Apexcone was crap, and provided zero proof, when hundreds of people have zero problems with the kits... I can see the point just find you a bit off base.

I've provided proof in the form of photos that the valance (at very least) AMS sells is warped from the mold.

AMS's best argument is "Must be someone elses product" or "Needs professional installation" and has not provided any proof beyond saying he looked at one of his in stock valances and claiming it wasn't warped.

The TREND we are seeing here with Mel being called out on subpar products, and him denying the facts is what makes him a sack of shit. As with the products in question.. I've just pointed it out. Yes it also happens to be my opinion on the matter. Lets not get off topic though :)


Now on a slightly different note, about 2 weeks ago when all this crap started I was about to spend $1100 ordering some products from AMS (Hella smoked ellipsoids, MHW tails/turns, plate filler, etc) but with the wheel ordeal and now this.. I'd be nuts to give Mel a penny. I'd just assume order from any other vendor even if it costs me slightly more out of pocket knowing I'm not supporting someone like Mel.

He tries to find every opportunity to badmouth AMS.

The quality of both the Kopi wheels and Kopi M Tech 2 kits we sell have not changed over the 5 years we have been selling them.
The only difference is the hub design of the 4 lug Kopi wheel.
This does not change the integrity or quality of the wheel.
This is only noticable with the center cap removed.
Other than that, both items are as we have always sold them with absolutely no complaints.

Reading this thread and the kopi wheel thread has been pretty informative. I considered both the kopis and this mt2 kit - and let's just say there's a trend in the problems that are occurring.

Although fact of the matter is they do make a replica kit leaps and bounds better quality then the stuff you sell.

Can I get a shot of that gray car you posted but at the angle jordan posted? That should clear things up nicely.

Do you have plans to get the hub situation sorted out? I for one would run these with no caps - and do not want the 5 lug indentations. the price is fair on both counts if we can get the issues ironed out.

AMS, is there any way to answer my question? I am interested in the S/O kit for my car, and would like to clarify. I have a professional installer who built hot rods, but I want to be sure. Also if I were to get this installed by said professional and the warp was there, what exactly would you do to help me recoup time and money?

Regarding the Kopi wheels-I am waiting for the factory to re-open next week to address the issue of the hub change on the 17" Kopi wheels.

If you had any confidence in the products you sell you'd have no problem selling to me. :up: Hell if you were smart you would offer the products I want to me at a discounted rate and hope I'm happy so I can post as such....I however already said that I will be taking my business elsewhere, as I encourage others to do as well. ;)

I'm going to let my friend know you offered to give him his money back on the kit though, he may take you up on that. Of course its already painted silver and has a couple cracks in the corners and such, that shouldn't be a problem though. You'll be picking up return freight too right?
