the best way to get it painted black is to get some paint stripper and strip the red paint off....then u can hang the bar from a tree or somewhere and use a spray paint.

install is pretty much straight forward...you'll have to jack up either sides of the car (to ease the install) sometimes its goes on easily without jacking the car.

Installing the 3rd hole is optional...if you are tracking the car, its highly recommended as it could be somewhat of a pain, you'll have to drill in the 3rd hole and get a short bolt and bolt it in...and the stock springs will make it hard to work with too. but everything shouldnt be too hard..an afternoon will do.

does it look right? the only thing is I had to put it under the engine throttle wires because when it was over them it would mess with the idle.

You are supposed to bend the bracket so they go under, and make sure bending it doesn't keep the throttle open. You are also supposed to drill a hole and mount the 3rd bolt on the side.

i agree, Sparco did put the 3rd hole there for a reason....for even more rigidity i'd say. but i've seen so many people get away without the 3rd hole.

I personally would put in the 3rd hole...but that's of course up to you.

UPDATE: I've sent PM's to the first 7 guys on the list. As soon as your money gets to Franklin he will have those 7 bars shipped out. He has more bars comming on the way and hopes to accomidate everyone in this group buy. Remember it is on a first come first serve basis.
