Nice! I need to send you a check anyway... I'll try the 25mm MC I have on first and see how it is, I can still lock up the tires so I can't imagine too much more power would be good but I like the feel of the IX... I put four studded snows on it yesterday and went and played around in the snow, I was like a kid with a new sled. -
brendan e36 masters bolt up to IX booster, I'm running 95 m3 master which I think is around 25mm. IIRC 96-99 was like 1mm bigger than that, and regular e36 around 22. realoem knows this stuff though, and e36 masters are easy to find used. Hell I think I have one off a 93 325is if you want it, trade ya for that box of goodies you already sent me :)Leave a comment:

Rockauto has a Beck Arnley for $ 160 and change. I just got a ix master.

I don't know if it's different in the US (I can't see why it would be though) but the IX booster uses the later style angled studs rather than the horizontal ones on the regular booster. If I'd used a 320i booster on my swap I could have kept the original master but I went with an IX booster and 540 master.French aftermarket
Brand is Mafix
BTW what is so special about the iX MC compared to a straight e30?

Where are you finding that price? That's great to know about, Bav Auto lists it at $1192.95 and our wholesale through worldpac isn't much better. Real OEM shows it cheaper though so maybe it's come back down to normal recently?Leave a comment:

The iX master is 22,2mm and costs 190 Euros, or less than $250usd.Leave a comment:

You nailed it. Having to apply a lot of pressure on the brake pedal can be tiring, and result on the feeling that you have lesser brakes. 25.4mm MC on a small caliper pistons will require much more work than a regular 21.8mm. The smaller MC will require 25% less effort. Pads also affect how much pressure is required to get to a stop.Leave a comment:

Giggity.
I'm excited!
Lee, quick question though, my IX seems to have better brakes than my swap car (which has a 25mm master and no abs pump or proportioning valve.) I have HPS pads I think on the swap car and god knows what on the IX however it seems to have much more stopping power: Am I right in assuming what I'm feeling is the leverage difference in the MC size or could there be something more sinister afoot? Just want to get everything nailed down before I install the Bug brakes...
Thanks!

I thought too that after the elections and Thanksgiving, people would be less stressed. Anyway, let's see how they do on eBay.
If you are still interested in a set of caliper adapters, please PM me your email and shipping address.
I was so tired last week that I forgot to take pictures of the first Dynapro bracket. Too bad, as they looked great, even before plating. At the same time, I also have modified the e30 Sport-Race brackets as they now are machined in one piece. That more than doubles their price, but will try to keep the kits' price the same on this batch, even though my cost has raised.

Hi everyone.
The introductory offer for the 280mm kit is closed. If your name is on the list, you're eligible. I have started writing invoices (not emailed them yet) and everything goes (almost) as planned. The caliper mounts are machined and have been sent to nickel plating. will be back by Friday. The kits will mostly likely be sold on eBay.
Regular prices will be
$660usd with plain Brembo rotors
$720usd with slotted rotors and "backside venting"
