I might actually have the 885 head setup, if i dont do a 731 head [entirely likely]
As far as rasing the eta rev limiter... That could work? But you know alottt more about chips then i do. so you tell me :)

I did make a chip for the eta block and 885 head, but hardly anyone has that setup.

Hey mark, got my chip yesterday and installed it within 15 minutes after pulling it out of the mailbox lol. I haven had a chance to really open it up all the way so I'll do that tonight when I'm off work. So far I noticed a considerable amount of bottom end in 1st and 2nd and I pull way fuckin hard in 3rd and 4th. So we will see today how it does from a stop. So far though I'm really happy with it. So thanks. I still need to give it some time to adapt because the idle is surging a bit.
Thanks a lot Mark. Big thumbs up.

Mark: would you be able to cut a chip for an eta with the 731 head? take advantage of a higher redline? let me knowLeave a comment:

let me check into it. I'll get back to you by email. I don't use UPS. I only sent an email saying "in process".

Hey Mark,
I've ordered before Nov 28th and I haven't got any refund yet nor the chip.
You sent me UPS tracking number through paypal and it says it is not availble. Please check your PM and email and let me know.
Thanks

I realise that, yes - I think I'll just skip it for now. Honestly, I am not that interested into putting more time and money into that car for now. Regular AFM it is.
As to the list, understood. I'll take the 17% :).Leave a comment:

Well, there *shouldn't* be, because the only way that would make sense is if the stock injectors had a long enough duty cycle to screw up injection timing and I wouldn't believe that BMW would be so incompetent. Yet, EVERYONE agrees that there are gains to be had, even in fuel economy. Mark suggested 17.5s. Now I need to find a set, I guess: does anyone have one?
DCC and others suggested it will never work well. Therefore, I'll skip it.
The problem is, I'd need an adapter - and that's fine - and a new cone filter - and that is more annoying.
I think I'll focus on building a heatshield to avoid sucking in engine-bay-temp air instead: the flow problems in an S50-in-E30 are elsewhere, from what I can tell and you just confirmed.
It did! Thanks. Back on topic, I'll add myself to the master list for two chips.
You don't need to add your name to the list as the earlybird part of the sale is over, everyone who orders on Dec 2 or later (till the end of the sale) gets 17% off.

2) Hasn't been proven yet but there are plenty of neigh sayers out there that claim it does nothing. I run an M30 AFM, and honestly it just makes more noise under WOT. In about two weeks I will have solid data proving whether or not it actually does increase horse power.
3) My buddy has an S52 in his E30 and he felt a difference but it was only a seat-of-the-pants difference. It could have been a placebo effect in action. I'd say if you have the 3.5" HFM throw it on there and see how you like it. You can always go back to the standard MAF sensor.

Hope that helped
