Gtr Hood Vented Carbon Fiber Gb Interest?

We are currently in the werks of making and producing a GTR style vented hood in carbon fiber. There will be 2 options for the hood. One will be full cf the other will be fiberglass with cf vents. The hood will mount like oem to stock mounting points. Inside of the hood will be in fiberglass. The hood should be around 16lbs.

Price for cf vented hood: Around $995.00(this is a estimate?)

We can set up a GB for the hoods.
    Is there any interest?
Please see pixs attached for an EXAMPLE of the hood.
    Thanks,
    Ary @ Eurostop 818.341.9903

What's the price estimate on the vented fiberglass hood, and do you offer a non vented fiberglass hood (if so, what's the price)?

fyi having holes in your hood like that w/out ducting to them is a big problem! Even if the fins are pointed so it is a "vent" air still is sucked into the hood and under the car. Which anyone knows that more air under the car causes more lift, which isn't good unless you want a batmobile. Don't believe me? Check out sport compact.

Vents w/out ducting only will help you on the dyno since the motor is cooler but on the street it is counter productive....

FG hood with cf vents maybe $200-$250 less. We do make a full oem style FG hood for $495.00 with oem mounting points.

Nice, I'm more interested in the non vented FG hood.
Do you have any pictures of it mounted? Weight?

What about a race use FG hood, no factory mounting points?

Actually, on e30's, it does the opposite. It allows the air coming into the grille to escape through the top instead of going under the car and creating lift.

You can see just how much pressure is created at speed, with fiberglass hoods that are only pinned at only 2 spots in the front:

Do you happen to have a FG or CF hood with a center vent located behind the radiator?

but you don't have any available right now?
When do you think they'll be finished?
Very interested, but don't want to buy something
that doesn't fit right like a VIS hood.

                        Thanks for the reply.

                          e30's don't defy physics....

as your pics show air in the engine bay is bad, so adding to that isn't very smart

What? That's the point, air doesn't go in the hood vents, it comes out. A vent allows all of the pressurized air coming into the grille to come out of the hood instead of going out underneath the car and creating lift.

Did Sport Compact Car test this on an e30? Or on a car that's NOT shaped like a box with a huge grille opening?

To me, it looks more like the nose of the hood
is flexing because it's catching the air being
                              smashed into it.
Not because all the air wanting
to come out of the engine bay.

                              That's just IMO.
