Well, because I think this will take some time to find 25 people to pre-order. We might as well start a list of those who are interested now. This list is for people who would be serious about purchasing a set of 17x8" 4 lug wheels in an offset around 25mm (final details to be worked out). I think it would be great if this could come together and I'm more then happy to organize it. I anticipate drop outs, and no payments, so getting a list going now should speed things up when I know all the details.

But to do that we have to be realistic. People who are interested but don't think they will have funds shouldn't sign up on the list. Also I will NOT be making 15's, or 16's or 9" wide wheels or 0 offset wheels, or anything out of the ordinary. This groupbuy is for a 17x8" e30 track wheel for guys who want to put some non stretched rubber on their cars.

I know people have already posted their interest in here, but I don't want to sign anyone up on their behalf. Please sign up below if this is a wheel you want to see in a 4 lug version in a 17x8" fitment, and would be serious about placing a payment/deposit within 1-2 months.

    Official list for 17x8" et25~ 4x100 wheel.

the et20 5 lug wheel is 16.94lbs. these would have a higher offset, and I found another place I could have them save weight when making the needed change. So they would weight less then that at the minimum.

Thats light. Would this sacrafice the strength of these? Obviously being used for track use, these wouldnt be covered in any way if they were to break?

I have two sets of wheels now that are pretty popular, so its nothing to me to buy these and sell off the ones I have. Thats really the only way I can justify it to wifey :)

I will have to sell my euro weaves (to justify it to the wife as well, 2 sets of wheels in a year? she'll still be pissed lol). let me look over tire choices and decide from there.

No it's not sacrificing strength, it's an offset change. the primary version of this wheel is a low offset, adding metal to the back to lower the offset is only adding extra strength.

No wheels are covered on the track from damaged caused by that kind of use, as the only way to damage wheels at the track is to either drop a wheel, or go off the track (technically a car accident) or hit a curb overly hard. These are being produced with a 1400lbs load rating which is very track friendly. All wheels bend if you abuse them.

I am currently pursuing a 5 lug E30 setup (in which case I'm going for the 5 lug version of these), but if that falls through I am more than in for a set of 17x8 4x100s.

I'd sell my prized new-in-box Ronal LS weaves in order to pick up these wheels in Hyper Black 4-lug 17x8.

From the pictures, the hyper black wheels have a unique look to them. Just slightly different than the regular silver but I like it.

factory got back to me. They can make the necessary mold changes, and will get back to me with how much that will cost. That will dictate the price vs. the minimum number of people needed. For example they said that if 300 wheels were produced, they would eat that cost. That's unrealistic for this application. So I'll see how much cost will be amortized into each wheel, in a smaller production run. This doesn't mean the price will go up for this version of the wheel, it just means a certain number will have to be pre-sold to guarantee that the costs are at least recouped.
