        i completely agree with this.

but if he had a problem with the product he should not have had it painted. after it's painted, i dont think ary has any obligation to accept a return. just notch your trunk?

ESM wheels are made by ESM. Ary just sells them, and apparently re-drills them...

This is 100% true. To be a successful business you need to bend over backwards for your customers, there is no avoiding this. It may be an inconvenience for you, however if you simply ignore all customer service it can end up hurting your wallet in the long run. See Vlad for example.

Seems a lot of shady figures have came to light in the e30 crowd recently and honestly it scares me. I've always trusted the e30 peeps as we all have close to the same mindset with our cars but thats starting to change. I pray things like this stop happening for the sake of the community and reputation, This isn't the Honda crowd.

We are also growing into a large crowd, not so tight knit anymore.

Some businesses just worship the dollar is all.

This. The "M3 kit" is way overpriced too, you can buy brand new fenders for 20 dollars more.

The real trick is how to balance that and still be able to pay for normal operating expenses (rent/permits/production/payroll/food for family). If ESM redid all of their molds to extremely accurate fitment, would he then be able to sell enough of them (at a higher cost) to still be able to stay in business. At what point (in regards to either end of the buying/selling spectrum) do you draw the line and say "enough is enough".

For an example of the opposite spectrum, we sold a camshaft to a gentlemen who emailed back and claimed it wasn't the correct one. We asked for some pictures of the measurements and he emailed back some picture showing, indeed, the lobes heights were incorrect. However, the cam wasn't even ours! in the background of his photo there was our camshaft, snapped in half.

To speak about this in absolutes (white and black/ right and wrong) is difficult when the middle ground is always shifting. If anyone actually does find a magic prescription they'll end up a millionaire (and please pm me how!).

I'm NOT taking sides here, just observations about the aftermarket business.
