Bad business is no business, and as a Shop owner it's easier and more professional to refund or help the customers in need of refunds than to make a quick buck. I would rather take One loss and keep my customers for life and happy. I hope everything works out man.

I would also LOVE to hear other brake suppliers take on the situation, only seems fair after Lee climbs down their throat in threads about them.

I shudder to think what sort of support one would receive being on entirely different continents.

Awhile back I purchased a Street Kit from Massive Brakes and had nothing but great experiences with it, save for some high-temp rotor warping on the track. In anticipation of a new build I bought a brand new set of two piece rotors to solve the heating issue but before I ever even took them out of the box I realized I ultimately wanted to go bigger and I needed money more then brakes I wouldn't use for a year.

I'm one of the head techs at an independent performance and restoration shop here in NH and when I customer came in looking for a mild big brake kit for his street-driven E30 I offered him mine. With brand new rotors and pads and zero issues on the other components we sent him on his merry way, feeling confident in our new install.

Occasionally, new rotors are cut out of a faulty piece of metal and as soon as they heat up the first time or two they will warp and cause a steering wheel vibration. It's not common but we see it once in awhile and when it happens, it's a simple matter of swapping them out for a new set and sending the old rotors back to our supplier for a refund.

This happened to the brand new Massive two-piece rotors so I contacted Lee Vuong, the owner of Massive Brakes for a simple set of replacement rotors so I could warranty them out. (Please note that this is a 2-piece rotor and the only part that needed replacing was the cheap, outer rotor and not the expensive hat.) Lee's response was stall for a month bullshitting about why the rotors might not be warped even though they very clearly were. Then, two weeks ago he stopped responding entirely. At this point, the customer is furious with me and I have been forced to buy back the entire kit out of my own pocket and install stock brakes at my company's expense. This leaves me broke, down a customer, and left with a broken big brake kit that's no good to me. All it would have taken was two rotors which Mr. Vuong could have been reimbursed for from HIS supplier, leaving him with zero financial responsibility.

In light of this situation I am begging you future big brake customers, as a professional and a fellow enthusiast, to pass over Massive Brakes and instead consider the options from FastBrakes.com or UUC. And Lee, if and when you read this please respond to my email with an explanation of how you intend to make this situation right. I'm pretty damn sure Rob Levinson would have sent me some new rotors in a timely fashion...
