His wife called me once and never heard from her again after that. I assumed she got it sent out. Ill go over there this evening and get it on its way if it isn't already

This is all well and good- but no excuse for the guy not getting his hardtop OR a prompt refund.

There's no reason for this crap- your brother has the guy's money, unless he's dead or in a coma he needs to do what it takes to get the "buyer" his money back in full or ship the hardtop to him as promised. It's not that hard.





Seems like I remember a similar situation a while back where B-well was claiming his brother was supposed to send out a part or something and the buyer got pissed off.


It's simple- if someone buys something from you- send them their parts in a timely manner OR send them a refund. Even if you run into a delay, most buyers will be OK with it IF you keep in contact with them and let them know what's going on. If you stop communicating or keep making excuses, they will always start to feel like they're being ripped off.

If the seller, AKA "Brother" is in the Military, you can track down his Unit Commander and send him/her this thread. Military brass do NOT take kindly to Armed Forces troops committing fraud. The other thing is that advertising and selling an item that will cross state lines can be prosecuted as a Felony. You could file a Fraud complaint with your local law enforcement and they can alert the FBI Fraud division. B-Well's a slimeball for stealing money.

TBH I don't think there is a "brother".

This is a very unreliable seller. I waited around 30 days for rear bilstien sports. I was very patient for the first 20 some what days. I eventually got a pm saying it's his brother and he's in the hospital or something, now I'm not going to doubt him due to the possibility, but there are a lot of lack of reliability with this guy

Ok, been really busy lately but here is the update.

I finally received it last week. =-) After having to call his fathers house, and speaking to him. It's unfortunate I had to do that, but I am just glad to finally have it after 5months.

I realized today that I never posted my feedback of my transaction of Alex Blackwell, aka b-well, ACS cabrio and probably a few other screen names.

Back in September I posted a WTB for a 4.10lsd diff. Alex contacted very quickly stating that he had a 4.10LSD with about 60,000 miles on it. His communication was prompt before money traded hands, and he answered all my questions via pm usually within 24 hours.

After I sent him a cashiers check/money order (I forget which) he sent me a text. We communicated via text from this point on, and communication was far less persistent than before the payment. I decided to screen capture our text conversations so that everyone thinking of buying from him can see what kind of timeline it took for him to ship a tupperware can with a few strips of duct tape wrapped around it.



Around this time, I posted in his for sale thread that I had not received the diff yet. A few nice people PM'd me who had also had problems with him, and that is when I decided to look into him a bit more... finding this thread and some other information about him. http://www.r3vlimited.com/board/showthread.php?t=264088



Sometime in January, I called his father and the shop foreman for the manufacturing company he works for and explained my situation. Wouldn't you know it, I got a text from him within hours!























So sometime in mid February I finally received the diff. It was packed moderately well in a rubber tub duct taped shut in a few different wraps. Diffs are heavy, and shipping them has to be a chore no matter which way you do it.
The diff itself looks to be in pretty good shape, I haven't open up yet do to other projects, but it looks to be in better condition than the 3.73lsd it will be replacing.

So although I did not get scammed by Alex Blackwell, he is NOT somebody I would recommend buying from again. He has a few things for sale on the forum, so I hope potential buyers are careful!
