    Hellmeroma is a scammer!!!!!

I hate to do this but I am getting no response from hellmeroma through text or phone calls. I purchased these rims from him on 2/17 Monday. He said that he was going to box them up that night a send them out the next day (Tuesday) and would send me a tracking number by 530pm my time. Tuesday came around and nothing. So I texted him Wednesday afternoon he replied say that he needed more supplies to wrap them up properly and he would send them out that night "right after work" . 530 came around again and nothing, not a text or call. I figured maybe he got caught up again. No problem. So Thursday around 530 my time I texted him asking if I was going to have a tracking number. Nothing. No reply this time. Friday (2/21) I texted him again, in the morning and no reply. So I called him in the afternoon and he answered, but pretended like he couldn't hear and hung up after saying "hello" "hello". I called back serval times to only get his voicemail. Left a message that I was going to make a dispute with paypal if he didn't send the rims out today or send me my refund. Friday he never answered a call or text.

I specifically asked him if the rims where ready to ship out. He said all he had to do was box them up. That is the only reason I purchased them from him. I'm a very understanding person and all he had to do was let me know what is going on. 800$ is a lot of money. I trusted him to send the rims out in a timely manner or atleast let me know the deal. Anyone know him on a personal basis that can contact him and ask what is going on? Any help is much appreciated.

Saturday I got a text from hellmeroma, around 12pm, saying that he would be shipping out the wheels that day. I texted back and ask when I would have a tracking number. He replied that he was on his way to ship them out to me and I'd have a tracking number shortly. He even apologized for the delay. Lol what a guy. So 3-4 hours rolls around and nothing AGAIN. I waited the rest of the day for the tracking number.... Nothing. Today is Monday and he hasn't tried contacting me or letting me know what's going on. This dude is a fucking scum bag, I wouldn't advise anyone dealing with him!!!

I googled his user name and he has had manny encounters with people naming him a scammer. I wish I would have know that before purchasing these rims. Up until now I have only dealt with honest people. I've been buying a selling parts online for the past 5 years. This blows! Oh we'll you live and learn right. Anyway if anyone could help I'd appreciate it.

Yes I have. I have to wait until after today to escalate it to a claim.

It sounds to me like you are in a big hurry for these wheels. I'd rather a seller take a couple more days to ensure the item I buy is shipped well, then rush it and risk damage.

I do not know the seller, but I am familiar with the wheels and was considering purchasing them.

I think calling the guy a scammer is a bit premature. Especially since you havent been scammed out of anything except your expectations. But if he said he would ship it out at a certain day/time then you have the right to be upset. Especially if you need the wheels for xxx reason. I always state up front when I think i will be able to ship something out. If something ever comes up along the way, its always good practice to give an update. I have been on both sides of the equation and clear communication is always the best practice. Good luck and hopefully it works out for you.

So when is it safe to say that i have been scammed? On 3 separate occasions over a week has said that he was shipping them out. All 3 times that he said that he was shipping them out, I have been ignored. He has not given me a legitimate reason why he has not shipped them out. Just the runaround followed by being ignored. If you sell something and say that they are ready to be shipped, then ship the fucking rims. I don't care if I don't need them for xxx reason. Be a man a live up to your word. If he would have said to me I need more supplies to box them up correctly and I can't get them out for a week, I would have waited a week to send the money ( if they weren't sold by then) . So yes you are right communication is key to a good seller or buyer. So sir I feel that I am being scammed.

13bpower ....Being ignored after you just sent someone 800$ isn't a red flag?
I don't sit around after sending someone I don't know, who is ignoring me and giving me the run around, 800 to just wait and see if the wheels are going to show up. Like I previously posted if you say your going to have them out, send them out!!! Don't give the run around. Plus after googling his user name and seeing other people who are calling him a scammer doesn't sit we'll with me .

I think being scammed is when you actually lose money. But you have protection against that (hopefully you did not send PP as gift). But it sounds to me more like he is not being responsible and delivering when he said he was. I dont disagree with you, but to me being scammed means something different. Still, I hope it works out for you.

I did not send it as a gift, I know better, thank god. We'll maybe all my actions will motivate him to send out the rims or send me a refund. It's annoying to have my money tied up until paypal makes a decision. And I did ask for a refund. Why couldn't he just send a refund if he isn't trying to scam me?

I usually try to do business with someone reputable here. I check history, check for any feedback threads and even contact other buyers to gauge feedback if i cant find any. Its still a roll of the dice I hate to say. Best of luck.

So magically after I started this thread, hellmeroma contacted me. He basically said that "he got the short end of the stick" because it costed a little over 100 dollars to ship the rims. He is the one who put 800 shipped, if he wanted more he could have sat on them when he advertised them at 1200 or whatever. Plus if he would have been in contact with me, and told me that it was going to cost that much, I would have split the cost with him or figured something out.

All in all I would not do any more business with him, he just gives the run around and ignores you.

If you noticed in his for sale thread, I posted a fair amount and was interested in the wheels. I just could not bring myself to give the money to this guy after I googled his name. I actually did not trust that he had the wheels, and his feedback on other forums is terrible.
