Relocate IAT sensor?

Well sure, anything's possible, even easy.
But doesn't the IAT only get use for starting? Once the car's on the MAF,
only the density and volume of air matter for charge metering.
As in, hot air has less oxygen, but the MAF detects this.

now, sometimes I just mess with people. It's more entertaining that way. george graves

In MS41 (OBD2), IAT is used for ign trim as well, I assume the 413 isn't too different, but then again the closed element OBD1 sensor reacts pretty slowly so it wouldn't surprise me if you're right.
Relocating the sensor should be fine. It'll adapt to changing temps faster being in the air path like that, but I don't think that would cause any problems.
Just a matter of adapting the threaded sensor to fit.Originally posted by priapismMy girl don't know shit, but she bakes a mean cupcake.Originally posted by shamesonUsually it's best not to know how much money you have into your e30
