Every post I have been seeing on Google about obd1 to obd2 conversion says something along the lines of "just Google it there's tons of forums" to "oh so and so already posted that" but I can't seem to find anything about the conversion. I have a 1987 e28 and a 1997 e39 parts car. I've already deleted ews. I have the software to tune out whatever I need to. Any leads would be appreciated

What is your objective? Are you wanting to put the motor from the e39 in the e28?'90 325is/S52

Okay let me clarify a bit. The engine in the e39 is going into the e28. I understand what I need for the swap. A lot of forums want you to switch the ecu from obd 2 to obd 1 for simplicity. But I want to do a obd 2 conversion. But can't find a guide to do itComment

You're not really converting to obd2 if the engine already is obd2. I guess I'm a little confused still. Just don't convert to obd1? Nothing in the car is converted other than adding an obd2 port and rigging up a SES light if you want one. Unless you want to run the full evap system and all that?84 325e - 91 325i - 92 318 touring - 91 Trans Am - 01 S4 avant - 03 S-type R - 96 F350 - 15 SS - 84 Biturbo - 91 Defender
